In Goblet of Fire, Ron thought Harry had put his name in the Goblet and wouldn’t speak to him, but Hermione stayed by him and helped him prepare for the first task. She’s always concerned about his well-being and he in return gets along very well with her. I am a Harmione shipper, and go ahead and question my opinions if you want, but honestly this ship makes a lot more sense to me than the canon ships. If you ship those, I’m not saying anything about you, I just prefer this.
In all honesty I prefer Dramione, but I know in the real HP cannon Dramione was, and is impossible…way too dramatic for the series. Harry and Hermione were the next best thing. Hermione could never be happy with Ron. He doesn’t match up to her intellectually. And we all know how much of an inferiority complex he’s got. No way would he have kept her happy. No way.
First off, he didnt need to match up with her intellectually. Ron was very smart and very strategic. Just becauae he wasnt all into books doesn’t mean anything. Heck he solved a lot of things Hermione didn’t, and sometimes he had to remind Hermione who she was herself.
Second, he doesn’t have an inferiority complex. He is just insecure and rightfully so. The last boy in a family of seven and everybody has done everything before he came along? His best friend is a famous wizard and he is only looked upon as a sidekick? But that never got in the way because Ron was amazed at Hermione’s intelligence (once they all became friends) and never thought her intelligence held him back, and never held Hermione back from what she wanted to do. Heck he was proud that she was the freaking Minister of Magic!!
Hermione loved Ron because he was her hero. He took care of her. He watched over her. He made her laugh. He made her rest when she was overdoing it. He softened her and showed her how to have fun. Funny how you say he could never make her happy, and yet she HAPPILY married him and had his children. In Cursed Child, they were so in love that in ever single universe they loved each other. He wanted to renew their vows for crying out loud. Heck their marriage seemed to be functioning bettwr than Harry and Ginny’s.
Stop downplaying Ron and acting like he ia less than and if he was not deserving of Hermione. Ans also remind yourself that Harry NEVER liked Hermione in that way abd vice versa. The boy said so himself on more than one occasion, and told Ron himself that the both of them thought of each other as brother and sister.
Ron and Hermione were made for each other. They balance themselves out.
And Dramione wouldnt work in canon not because it’s dramatic. Its because Draco would have never went for a Muggleborn. Especially one he hated, wished death upon, and constantly called a Mudblood. And even IF he showed interest, Hermione wasn’t gonna go for that.

Yeah Ron doesn’t match her intellectually.
1. He defeated mcgonagall at chess at the age of 12.
2. Got more owls than Fred George combined without studying properly
3. Could produce a corporeal patronus at the age of 15 when many grown up wizards struggled with it.
4. Always calm under pressure.
5. Got same grades as Harry. Except in DADA
6. Became a successful auror after the war.
7. Left his job to support his children when Hermione was busy working at the ministry.
Also
He defended her every time that racist called her a mudblood.
Yelled at snape for calling her an insufferable know it all
Faced his greatest fear bcz she was petrified.
Begged a fucking deatheater to torture himself instead of her
Didn’t care about the fallen chandelier and saved her when others were busy avoiding it.
This guy wouldn’t make her happy.
And guess who could make her happy??
