I’ll never forget the last in person conversation I had with with a woman I was on and off with for years because whenever there was an issue, she would just stop talking to me for months at a clip.
At one point she straight up blocked me and bragged to mutual friends about it. Friends went to me and told me to move on and that it’s her loss. Her and I didn’t talk for 2 years. In that time, I moved on to the point of getting married. Soon after I got married, she popped in to see if I was single still and lost her shit when she found out I had gotten hitched.
She tried to convince me to get a divorce and called me and idiot for getting married in the first place.
The best part… When she asked why I didn’t wait for her to “come around”. I told her she gave me no choice but to move on when she blocked me.
This was her answer: well a block is only temporary. You should have just waited for it to end then hit me up!

Romcoms are to blame. A lot of older romcoms made this idea that you should temporarily give your partner the silent treatment or pretend to reject them as a “true love test.” If your partner truly loves you, they’ll apparently come after you in spite of the rejection.
Too bad in real life, most people are straightforward in nature and that NEVER WORKS.
Now that you mention it, it makes a lot of sense. I distinctly remember her referencing two movies, “50 First Dates” and “The Lake House” as examples of what she dreamed about.
In both films, they ended up together in the end after the woman cut off contact. Love just magically persevered.
Imo, if you want to see romcoms that have any basis in reality, check out *Hitch" and “He’s Just Not That Into You”.
He’s not that into you was also pretty bad. Especially the main girl with the red hair was totally unlikable hell all the characters in that film were douche bags.
I’d say Notting Hill was a more realistic romcom because at least the characters had brains.

@takashi0, in the above-embedded video, they skipped the part where either Tara or her friend (actress Rena Sofer…?) says to the naturalized citizen (with a middle-class job) that they were born American, which is only at least half-true, as Tara Strong was born in Canada. You can watch that whole section here, but the part I am talking about starts around the 45 second mark.
Also, apparently, Tara Strong has it out for Anime Outsiders, who also posted it, from what I understood; it appears that legal counsel representing her threatened AO with implied legal action (that actually has no legal power due to not having the force of a court ourder behind it), but was just done to intimidate. More on that HERE, on laywer Nick Rekieta’s channel (which ran about four hours, if you guys really wanna see it) around the 54 minute mark. (As an aside, AO apparently keeps tabs on VAs that make stupid statements in public, and Tara Strong already did not like them before this…).
Oh, and around the 1 hour and 15 minute mark, it is said that she tried to get the guy fired for driving erratically and dangerously, with the video (or parts of it) used as evidence. She posted the video online, it blew up in her face, and she has been taking them down ever since….
I was under the impression that the video could be found on BitChute, but I have not been able to locate it. To make matters worse, there are, apparently, multiple cuts of the video floating around, and all of them, as mentioned before, keep getting pulled, so make of that what you will, but it would be great if the versions that are still up could be saved and put up on BitChute….
