Nasty Jews forcibly remove everyone not Jewish and murder after taking points from BFF Hitler. 1948-present day: Innocent bby Palestinians uwu all sit nicely and beg for nice things whilst sitting in a circle, holding hands and singing Kumbaya. Not one of them has ever done a Bad Thing Ever. Meanwhile, Israel oppresses and murders by shooting and torturing and bombing randomly for fun, as is the Jewish, uh, Zionist favourite pastime. Only Jews allowed in Israel and the only people that ever say anything nice about Israel are paid by Israel and love murdering Palestinian babies, or are too scared to say anything else because Israel controls the world and Jewish, sorry, Zionist puppetmasters manipulate literally everyone.
Important Historical Notes: Any supposed Bad Thing done by a Palestinian or by Palestinian governmental officials is not actually ever a Bad Thing. Murdering Jewish children sleeping in their beds isn’t “terrorism,” it’s Fighting Oppression. Any bigotry towards Jews isn’t “antisemitism,” it’s Opposing Murderous Colonisers, but try to remember to swap “Jews” with “Zionists” because that sounds better. Whether you come across a legitimate far-Right Jewish supremacist or a Jewish person that says something like, “Israel has done bad things, but I don’t want it to be destroyed, I think it would be best to be fair and fight for peace so everyone is safe and happy,” it doesn’t matter, they’re both Islamophobic, racist, colonialist, not-even-Semitic pro-murderous fascist Nazis that need to die, because remember, you’re the anti-racist anti-fascist.
Addendum: If you see any Jewish history that ties Jews to the land over a long period of time, please ignore it, because that doesn’t fit the narrative. Anything that contradicts the narrative doesn’t exist. Feel free to lie and just outright make up new things to support the narrative. Anyone angry about the lies or wants both sides to be held accountable for bad things is an Islamophobic, racist, fascist Nazi. It’s also important to tell others to boycott Israel and then claim that you’re boycotting Israel too when you’re more than happy to keep using Israeli technology and frequent websites that have bases of operations in Israel, etc.
Actually, going off my last post, I notice a trend on this site wherein most of the people on this site, especially those bitching about representation or how anime is for pedos or whatever inane bullshit is on the agenda today, seem to have only consumed a very select pool of media, one that’s almost always very recent and popular amongst that crowd. You know how I and others complained that game journos haven’t played a game made before 2010? Tumblr is very much like that, only really indulging in whatever is popular at the moment and making judgment calls on entire mediums based solely on what’s popular in that moment of time, or even just what little they know OF it (comics anyone?) or basing their entire attitudes, moral compasses and personalities around this very small pool of media
What I’m trying to say in this rambly ass post is that a lot of people’s attitudes towards media on this site could be improved by just broadening their horizons. Read a book outside of Harry Potter, watch an old ass show, find an anime that isn’t super popular on here, play a game that isn’t plastered on every gaming site/in the top 10 tags. It really helps give one perspective

Honestly these mental illness posts on tumblr have passed the point of being informative. They’ve gone beyond being Relatable. They’ve even passed being validating. At this point I can’t really articulate why, but I feel like I’m being buttered up. It feels like insincere flattery; even the most innocuous posts now feel like someone is trying to curry my favor because they want something from me.
And tumblr’s ego stroking goes right to the very sensitive heart of what every person with a mental illness or disorder already feels: like they’ve been misunderstood their entire life and the real experience of being blamed for it.
But tumblr goes too far. It’s okay, tumblr understands. Nobody else will ever understand you except us. The cool kids. You’re perfect. You don’t have to ever improve yourself and all your character flaws are somebody else’s fault because you were persecuted.
In fact tumblr sometimes even goes as far as to say the only inconvenience a person with a disorder will ever experience is because of society, and the disorder itself would never affect them negatively on its own. Frankly I think that’s bullshit and if we’re going to treat the brain as an organ of the body then we need to acknowledge that impairments in its function are negative things. An injury or disease.
“Neurodivergency” is not the next stage of human evolution or whatever kind of star child people on here think it makes them which is no wonder why the discourse gets so bloody insufferable.
Some white guy: cartoons arent as good as they used to be

Let’s put aside how a shitton of cartoons have protagoonists who aren’t human in the first place you are talking about comparing the stuff from today to the 1990s when cartoons were in a sweet spot of maturing and pushing boundaries whilst also honouring the older tropes and styles of cartoons.Hence you have brilliant pieces of art like Batman the Animated Series that changed the game, Gargoyles which followed and arguably perfected what BTAS did* but also stuff that remixed but also honoured more classic cartoon tropes like Dexter’s lab or the female led show Powerpuff Girls! And stuff somewhat in between like Samurai Jack which again had a poc protagonist voiced by a poc actor with a poc actor also playing the primary villain meaning the leads of the show were poc!
You are also talking about the late 1990s-2000s where the anime boom happened importing shittons of stuff about NON-WHITE characters and several which were not male either (e.g. I dunno just off the top of my head Card Captor and SAILOR FUCKING MOON!)
And you are also talking about the that decade’s poster child for high quality Westerns animation Avatar the Last Airbender which again had lots of non-male/non-white characters in it including it’s protagonist.
I ain’t saying there is nothing good around now but you wanna talk the average quality, no asshole it’s clearly lower.

Teen Titans Go!, the new Powerpuff Girls TV show and Ultimate Spider-Man/Marvel’s 2017 Spider-Man cartoon.
There is no one, and I mean no one, who considers these shows who have the exact same characters who look the exact same way, anywhere close to being on the same level as the original shows they were based upon.
No one.
So maybe next time instead of throwing out the laziest most pathetically myopic argument you possibly could engage in the teeniest tiniest bit of critical thinking jackass.
*And had a list on non-human protagonists one of which was female with the true blue co-lead being a half African America/half Native American woman. BTW the whole story was built around unfair prejudice because of how people look so you know maybe do some fucking research!
