Right, and ridiculing someone for pointing out legitimate issues of men’s rights isn’t bad. News flash, men didn’t do this to other men, everyone did. Women make up 51% of the population, and they vote. They vote the people into power who keep ignoring these issues of men’s rights. Women have the right to bodily autonomy. Men don’t. Women have the right to vote. Men are granted the vote as a privilege at the cost of registering for the draft. Women got the vote only 10 years after men, and they got it draft free. The Duluth model assumes a woman in any case is the victim by default. Most courts don’t recognize that a woman can rape a man. These are legal rights women have that MEN DON’T. Also, MRA’s aren’t asking feminists to do something about this. Feminists are going to MRA’s, saying that there is no reason for their movement because feminism helps men too, then act like people like you do by saying that there is no reason for feminism to care about men’s issues. On top of this, whenever MRA’s meet together to discuss these issues, which is them saying “we will deal with this, we are not asking feminism for help,” feminists show up in force to protest as if they are being misogynists. So the problem isn’t that feminists should care. I don’t give a fuck what a feminist thinks on men’s rights because they clearly think negatively of them. The problem is that feminists actively campaign against any form of advocacy for men’s rights. Tell me, what is wrong with being against genital mutilation? Tell me, what is wrong with wanting a court system that treats everyone equally regardless of gender? What is wrong with wanting the same right to vote without the risk of being drafted for war? Is that somehow misogyny? Is that an attack on women? No, but you will pretend it is. Maybe listen to what MRA’s are asking for rather than listening to the screeching of the people who pull the fire alarm and blare their horns before even listening to a word of the thing they are supposedly protesting. I’m not an activist, but I agree with men’s rights advocates on these issues. Is it fair that the state will never consider my being raped genuine because it was done by a girl? That’s a men’s rights issue. When men’s rights are discussed, what is discussed is real legal rights that men don’t have that women do. I challenge you to name one right men have enshrined in law that women don’t. I don’t mean a privilege. I mean a place in law where it says “men are protected in this way” and it doesn’t say so for women. Go on, I’ll wait.
