Spending my formative years in an international school where everyone was either a super genius or from super prestigious families, and only knowing people from OTHER international schools with the same background made me think that I was immature and didn’t have the intelligence most people my age should have.
Then I went to college and started using tumblr.
Where in the former, literal 17-19 year olds thought it was cool to make fun of a girl with a speech impediment and where girls blatantly said they “just wanted to get a husband” and screamed at kissing scenes. Where literal adults would have fights over which actor was better.
And where in the latter 18 year olds tell people to kill themselves over fictional ships and think that anyone who isn’t them is an enemy. Where everyone and their mother has abandonment issues and is constantly like “VALIDATE ME UWU”
Now I realise that I’m nowhere near as immature or stupid as I thought I was.
