https://www.change.org/p/saveinternet Please, go to this site and put your name on this petition. It’s for stopping Article 13, an EU thing that likelywill kill memes and AMVs, actually the whole internet culture. This article basically says that the site that allows an copyrighted upload will be held responsible. If that dosen’t sound scary then let me give an example.
You want to make a meme, let’s say that you use a screenshot of a TV-episode, that screenshot is protected by copyright. You are finished and hit the upload button and it should go up except instead you are given something that looks like an error message. Your site had to make a hugely expensive and faulty system that searches your upload for infringment on copyright and stops it. And you might try again and again till you give up or draw something original. Or your site let’s you upload it and a few days later both you and them have to pay tremendous sums, if it happens too many times they might have to declare bankruptcy. Oh, I forgot to mention. This would kill youtubers and most content creators jobs. And every continent, even the USA would be affected So do me a favor and sign it, please.
Article 13 would send fandom back to how things ran in the 70s and 80s.
Not just for the EU, for everyone. And don’t bank on VPNs being able to jack. They may work for people in China right now but that’s because the rest of the internet is currently untouched by this insanity. As well as fandom and youtube at large it would fuck up things like Patreon, too.
THIS WILL IMPACT THE ENTIRE INTERNET, NOT JUST PEOPLE IN THE EU.
Freddie Mercury (debatable, but considering he had had a long-term relationship with Mary Austin and he tended to keep quiet on matters of his private life, we’ll never know for sure)
All or which have either been given the name “gay” or “straight“ by the media despite coming out. There are more than two sexualities and this is a fact that most people (even on Tumblr nowadays) forget. People tend to assume that since someone is with a person of the same gender, they’re gay. (Or vice versa in Angelina or P!nk’s case) This is incorrect to assume because you’re erasing their identities in the process. The people on this list aren’t gay or straight, they’re bisexual.No matter how much the media tries to erase that.
Channing Tatum is openly bisexual but people just….ignore it.
No the fuck i don’t. The fact that i have a chance with Channing Tatum regardless of my gender has gotten me through some bad days. Also David Bowie.
Omg I can’t believe he wasn’t listed I had to double check!
AND DAVID FUCKING BOWIE
reblogging for all my bi kids out there who are trying to find bisexual role models. there are a lot of bi celebrities out there, it’s just that the media doesn’t like to accept that.
IM SORRY WHAT
HOW DID I NOT KNOW ANY OF THIS
Eleanor Roosevelt???????
Okay but Nicki Minaj lied about being bisexual so we should cut her off the list
📌Readthetextbookbeforehand. It is not important to actually understand it this time around. The goal is to make connections during the actual lecture.
📌Gotoclass. When you are absent, make up your work as soon as you possibly can. Never allow yourself to fall behind. That is one of the easiest ways to screw up in math.
📌Askquestions. Also, listen to others when they ask questions. You can always learn from them, too. If you are shy or have anxiety and you would rather not speak up, write down your questions in the margins of your notes and ask them privately to your teacher after class or via email.
📌Showallofyourwork. You’ve heard it a thousand times because it is important. Your teacher will appreciate this habit.
📌Checkallofyourwork. During sophomore year I screwed up a geometry problem completely because I said 7×2 was 16. You’d be surprised at the stupid mistakes you’ll make when you’re tired and sad.
📌Practiceextra. This is so important! Cover the answers from your homework and notes and rework the problems to quiz yourself.
📌Reviewingissoooimportant,kids! The easiest way to review is by rewriting your notes every day before doing your homework. Make them look pretty and use all sorts of colors. Add annotations from the textbook. Basically make a “masterpost” for the subject material. Reviewing a little bit every day is much more effective than cramming for hours.
📌Neverprocrastinate. Do all of your homework while it is fresh in your mind. One of my biggest mistakes in my early years of high school was procrastinating until I forgot everything and it was too late to ask questions.
📌Make an index or list of key concepts and important formulas. Paraphrase everything into a way that makes sense for you. I’d suggest starting a new list for every unit, keeping each one on file to study during midterm and final exam seasons.
IMPORTANT!
Another one I figured out
Work out one example of each type and write in words next to the working what is happening
For example system of equations when you do like this:
A: x+2y=10
B: 3x+y=15
B -> y=15-3x
B -> A: x + 2(15-3x) = 10
Write on the side in words “solve b for y” and “substitute b into a” for the corresponding steps. This method has helped me personally.
Misleading headlines from a snot rag of a publication. A bill has been proposed to make abortions after 6 weeks illegal. One of the women behind the bill brought her children with her to make the point that “Motherhood isn’t easy but it’s necessary.”
The headline intentionally wants to make you believe that Republicans want to forcibly inseminate women and they use a picture of Kavanaugh, instead of the woman they’re quoting, to try and relate their already misleading headline with accusations of rape and sexual misconduct.
At least try a little harder with the lying propaganda. I didn’t even have to do research I just read the rest of the article.
