Cookie Run is an absolute nightmare when it comes to shipping and drama, it has the worst of tumblr over how the cookies are all ~trans, gay, lesbian, and whatever special sexuality/gender uwu~ thus they cannot be straight nor cis! (How the fuck can cookies be trans? Can they have dysphoria?) They’re also quite insufferable and snobby on how a kid’s mobile game about running cookies is so “diverse” and better with its “lore” than other series out there
You know it’s funny how the tumblr fandom claims how Cookie Run have such good lgbt content when the game is a korean made kid’s game meaning the game can’t have explicit lgbt stuff or the devs will get into trouble and have it censored or removed so the supposed lgbt stuff are just implied hints or subtext, like remember Mystic Messenger? How a rumor of Jumin being gay caused a major scandal or how you can’t date Jaehee, the only female option you can’t date but be friends with her instead
Jaehee they kind of fixed but you can only kiss her on the cheek. Korea isn’t a very accepting place when it comes to LGBT so this is a bold move.
