“You’d be surprised”, said Xaldien, who just lost four followers and received a lovely “men can’t be raped” anon shortly after reblogging this the first time.
Yowch, disgusting.
If I don’t reblog this, assume I’m dead.
Always reblog this
If you Dont reblog this if u see it then i cant call u my friend
IF ANYONE TELLS ME THAT MEN CAN’T BE VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND RAPE, I AM SICKENED BY THEIR MERE PRESENCE ON MY BLOG.
If you disagree with me, unfollow my blog, block me and never look at my blog again.
If you want to debate about this or send anon’s about this, I will reply but your actions have consequences.
Out of 19000+ followers I have, only one of you actually reblogged about this issue, yet a lot of you have reblogged and liked a picture by playboy about catcalling and that how men should never do it.
Additionally, I have received abuse in my ask box (which I will be answering when I can) and threats. In particular death threats and rape threats.
I can see the real problem here already. Male domestic violence and rape is just invisible in our society because we don’t want to talk about this because it just damages the status quo of this fucking website.
I’m a male victim of child sexual abuse. We matter. Please, reblog this.
Please never forget male victims are real and it can happen to everyone/anyone
Make sure the romance is there on both sides people
Its not a lie to say if you do not agree with this that you are a sexist.
Steve game my first job in animation. He was generous and always a kind boss to work for. He had a very sly sense of humor, and making him laugh felt like a big accomplishment. I really respect his work, his talent, and what he left us. He’ll be missed.
What being a real fe/minist should mean: respecting all women, regardless of if you agree with them, whether they be tran/s or ci/s, married or unmarried, mothers or not. You can like makeup, girly things, or be a tomboy-women are all individuals and don’t have to conform to the hivemind. Also, men are human beings with flaws of their own and not all of them are fucking devils or rapi/sts out to get you. Also, women are not pure, misunderstood victims, who do not always so the right thing. Women can be every bit as bad as men or good.
What being a “fakeinist” means according to my class/this site: women should hate all men and never get married because it is the end of the world! Women should always be strong badasses with no interest in love! Men are evil and there’s no such thing as a straig/ht couple who is happily married without a bad thing happening! Being a moderate fem/inist is so bad, don’t you dare be a moderate! You have to be a radical! Men are all bad and want to harm, hurt and kill you every second of your life. So fear them, hate them and revile them! Never see any rational truths and keep dividing people based on sex and treat girls better than boys! Marriage is bad and women should never, never, be straight, express interest in boys or get married. Or even try on makeup, it makes them untrue women! Also, tran/s women aren’t real women, and tr/ans men are actually women in denial and betraying us!
Fakeinists: why don’t people like us? Miso/gyny!
Others: maybe it’s because you all lie and act like victims eternally and don’t even see people as individuals with your black and white thinking.
Fakeinists: You’re not a real fem/inist! You hate women you fucking mis/ogynist!
Others: *other women that disagree and shake their heads. Why us?*
-Grew up poor, the son of two Jewish Romanian immigrant parents. He had to share a room with his brother while his parents slept on the couch.
-Helped write for a comic book whose first issue, while not written by Lee, showed a superhero punching Hitler in the face on the COVER. Which was a very dangerous thing to do during WWII, especially with all the support the Nazi party had in America at the time.
-Created the X-Men, a not so subtle metaphor for civil rights, and eventually for gay rights, at a time when these issues were very much not being taken seriously by most of the country.
-Helped create the Black Panther, one of the first mainstream POC superheroes.
-Went on to create many LGBT and POC heroes despite this being very controversial in the industry at the time.
-Received death threat after death threat for most of these things, but kept doing it because he knew that equality couldn’t be silenced.
-When asked about the bi/POC Spider-Man headcanon, yes, I know, he didn’t agree. But y’all are leaving out the why. He said he didn’t support it because it’s better to create new, original characters, that way every version of them, not just one, represents those who need representation.
Stan Lee fought tooth and nail for equality and representation. That’s all he’s ever done, even when faced with threats against his job, his credibility, his life, all he did was fight for equality.
He believed in you. In them. In all of us. He believed we all deserved to be equal and this is how you repay him.
So don’t you sit your privileged ass behind that screen and call him a bigot, a racist, a homophobe. Just because you didn’t understand a statement, doesn’t mean you get to spit on the grave of a true hero. A True Believer.
A VERY quick way I’ve seen abusers gain popularity on this site is making “witty” or “sassy” replies to people that is just plain ole’ abuse dressed up in funny gifs, passive-aggressive smiley faces, and reaction images.
How many times have you seen a post like this?
Person A: I was abused because I am asexual and I wish you wouldn’t joke something so hurtful.
Stephen Hillenburg was a marine biologist who created Spongebob as a part of a project to help educate kids on the ocean while working at the orange county marine institute. many of the characters in this educational comic went on to become a part of the series, including the future cartoon’s titular character, then known as Bob the Sponge.
this cartoon revolutionized the industry and in its initial boom was widely adored for its ability to be enjoyed by all ages and all demographics, creating an animated juggernaut for its generation akin to the simpsons or looney tunes, with people of all stripes able to remember its finest moments at the drop of a hat.
hillenburg began his official work on this groundbreaking program 15 years after graduating college. he left his career at the marine institute to study at CalArts. he didnt get his MFA until the early 90s. spongebob squarepants, now considered by many to be nickelodeon’s premier nicktoon, began airing the year he turned 38. his adventure as a professional truly shows the power of pursuing far-flung dreams, and that someone can do something huge long after their supposed “prime.”
this man changed animation, nickelodeon, and the childhoods of millions of people around the world forever in his unfortunately short life. i think it should be known just how much he managed to do in his time here, though, and his work and lofty ambition was something to be admired.
the above clip, featuring tiny tim’s “Living in the Sunlight,” is from the debut episode, “Help Wanted,” partially written by Hillenburg. It perfectly encapsulates the completely unorthodox and wildly entertaining tone that made this show so great.
