Writers: *didn’t write the villain as obviously sympathetic, but gave them a couple of experiences and powerful emotions that some people share and thus relate to, while making the hero too perfect and sweet to necessarily be relatable to those people*
People: *write AUs and the like to explore their own more sympathetic version of the villain and potential redemptions*
Abusive fathers telling their daughters that men are dirty perverts who only want one thing so that the only man they have in their lives is him.
Abusive boyfriends and husbands saying “you can’t leave me because all the other guys are sexist pigs”
Conservative religious places where women can’t dress up, wear makeup, date boys, etc because “men are obsessed with sex and women are pure virgins”
Parents telling their daughters not to get educated or have careers using “men will rape you” as an excuse, and marrying them against their will to “protect them” from other men
Patriarchy stems from a misguided and twisted attempt to protect women, not because of hatred towards women. You know how sometimes parents become so overprotective of their children that they turn into their abusers? You see the exact same principle at work with patriarchy, because women were considered dependents when it was at its height.
And feminist talking points these days are coming from the exact same place, it’s getting old and needs to stop.

Fuck you. This isn’t just about banning smut, it’s about censorship that affects not only sexual content, but the artistic freedom of creators that have made tumblr popular in the last 5 fucking years.

Fuck you, you who think artists creating completely legal content need to be censored, banned and deleted because of your personal dislike.

As a writer I’m everything except horny (because it’s hard to actually WRITE smut when you can only do it with your eyes closed and when you SEE what you’ve written you overcome the urge to wipe the word document clean out of shock)
Tumblr doubling down on Truth being “sensitive content” might just be the gold star on this dumpster fire.

The suckiest part is that tumblr claimed that they wouldn’t censor actual art. Which this is.
Proof that even art will not be spared.
So does Tumblr think that minors shouldn’t ever step foot into an art museum because they will just be soooo traumatized and corrupted by naked sculptures and paintings of gods and goddesses?
