The reason I hate when people draw or edit light skin characters to be darker skinned is that 98% of the time, it isn’t done just because they want to, but out of some desire to get woke points and show off how much they care about diversity and representation.
As someone with darker skin, it just recks of fetishism.
Yeah, they always say shit like “well dark aziannz exist uwu uwu” Like I’m a dark asian and the way they draw dark asians is literally just how they draw black people.
And yeah, blasians exist but most of the time the characters they draw aren’t even canonically blasian
Because they want to draw black people, and rather than just drawing actually black character they just use dark skinned asians as a shield and are like “uwu it’s representation.” because they’d literally never care otherwise.
Then there are the aggressive and downright hostile demands made of artist in the name diversity.
If you darken or lighten a character’s because you dont how to colour it specifically according to the character’s skin or you like the way it looks on your drawing, i dont mind since art is free for all. But when you start bitching about “whitewashing” while you yourself darken a character’s skin colour in your drawings until it no longer looks like their original race, maybe stop being such a fucking hypocrite.
And instead of reflecting on their own actions in a slightest they will bully you into doing the same.
my body physically can not handle seeing “I don’t acknowledge any Pokémon past the original 151” like,,, not only are you not allowed to have an opinion ever again, but you are clearly the most boring type of person
once you get to mew no other pokemon matters anymore
Man imagine having such fucking awful taste to believe Goodtigerclaw up there
Okay enjoy your legendary bird getting destroyed by a LITERAL ICE CREAM CONE
Something that’s forever hysterical to me: how all the
clever and subtle English-name symbolism in FMA becomes so wallopingly in-your-face once you translate the
whole series into English
“Ah yes, Riza Hawkeye. The sharp shooter. With eyes so
sharp, we’ve taken to calling her ‘the
Hawk’s eyes’ on account of this. Riza “The Hawk’s Eyes” Hawkeye. The
similarity is coincidence ignore that.”
“Alex Armstrong. With arms so strong we call him the Strong
Arm alchemist. Alex ‘Strong Arm’ Armstrong. What were the odds of this.”
“King Bradley, first name King. The Fuhrer, leader, ruler,
president. ‘Fuhrer King Bradley’. ‘King King’ if you will. Why our military is
full of coincidences.”
Thing #2 that’s forever hysterical: how the English symbolism becomes SO wallopingly literal that at least half the English-speaking fandom never realizes “King” is Bradley’s corny af first name
