Neither is sexist, and women have the added oppurtunity (that men generally do not) of just wearing the one marketted towards the other gender. Simple.
If women bought non sexualised clothing or the “mens clothing” then companies would start selling those sexualised costumes less and less.
They only sell things they think will sell and they will continue to sell whatever does sell.
Not to mention that if the male version of the costume actually pit any effort to show that it was a male costume, it would be considered “toxic masculinity”.

Men and most women in general (because only 20% of them actually call themselves feminists) aren’t threatened by feminism because they want to oppress women.
People are threatened because feminism has become more about hating on men than about supporting women, to the point where it even oppresses women for going against the grain.
People are upset because feminism is willing to excuse women who commit bad deeds or blame said bad deeds on men, even if another woman is the victim.
People are frustrated because feminism is more concerned about non-issues and first world problems than it is about REAL misogyny.
People are upset because feminists often spout the same patriarchal rhetoric that’s used to control women in order to turn women to feminism.
Maybe feminists wouldn’t feel so threatened if people chose not to call themselves feminists if their definition of “woke” wasn’t rooted in something other than throwing others under the bus to defend themselves.
I’m already tired of the posts condemning Stan Lee for things he’s said–especially things he said as a geriatric 90+ year old straight white man. Like god fucking damn this is why I can’t stand Tumblr, Twitter, and hyper “walking on eggshells” culture. The moment someone dies it’s “you can’t be said about this CUZ THEY BAD.”
I don’t even see how his comments were homophobic. Sure they weren’t open-minded, but nothing was hateful about it. He (along with Ditko) created Peter Parker, and Peter was conceived as a straight, white guy. This is what he said:
“I think the world has a place for gay superheroes, certainly, but, again, I don’t see any reason to change the sexual proclivities of a character once they’ve been established. I have no problem with creating new, homosexual superheroes. It has nothing to do with being anti-gay, or anti-black, or anti-Latino, or anything like that. Latino characters should stay Latino. The Black Panther should certainly not be Swiss. I just see no reason to change that which has already been established when it’s so easy to add new characters. I say create new characters the way you want to. Hell, I’ll do it myself.”
Like… having a preference a character one created remains the same doesn’t make that person bigoted–especially when that character is their creation. I… I don’t get it. He even said he’d support a non-white, non-straight Spider-Man (as in the mantle/superhero identity), he just preferred Peter Parker to remain the way he created him. And, again, Lee is a product of his time. He made most of these comments when he was super old. He grew up in a totally different era (an era for which, at the time, Lee was considered very progressive).

Agreed. As a gay man, I don’t give a flying fuck who he likes to stick his dick in. This DOES NOT MATTER. “First openly gay male governor, yay!” It’s pretty clear that’s why he got elected. It’s pretty clear that matters more to his voters than his politics do. It’s sick, it’s pathetic, and it’s what’s wrong with this nation. Your policies matter in political office, not your Orientation, not your genitals, not your gender identity, not your skin color, not your culture, not your ancestry, not your University. Your. Political. Beliefs.
Don’t forget that the person doing this can also end up being abusive in a different way.
A partner who is codependent on you for basic decency, and who idolizes you to that extent isn’t healthy, and they can sometimes end up mimicking the same abusive patterns they were subjected to because of this lack of self assurance.
If you catch yourself doing this stop and think first, otherwise you might end up damaging your partner’s mental health as well.
