Yes, it’s still possible to get posts to show up, but in the case of the search function, it’s only if they have no links – not even links to other Tumblr posts. For people like me who include links to other chapters in my fic so readers can get caught up on chapters they might miss, this is a huge problem. I basically have no choice but to include those links, or else I would make things massively inconvenient for my readers.
So why am I telling everyone this? Because this means reblogs are becoming more and more important to creators. With posts so difficult to find in searches and tags, reblogs are one of the few other ways for people to find new artists or writers.
You’re under no obligation to reblog my stuff, of course, but I want to put it out there why reblogs are so important to those of us who write/draw/create content.
(Also: While I’ve personally verified the stuff that’s going on with searches, I have no clue what’s going on with tags. Some of my stuff is showing up there, some isn’t, seemingly with little correlation to the links included. So tags might not be quite as strict, but they do seem to be less consistent.)
High key hope this site doesn’t get deleted. I know it’s probably nothing but I just realized we have the voltron kin and skeleton stealers quarantined in here and letting them out onto other sites would be chaos. A 21st century Pandora’s box
The Women’s March founder is urging the group’s leadership to resign over anti-Semitism and anti-gay rhetoric, just days after Linda Sarsour suggested Jewish people have dual loyalties.
Teresa Shook, a retired lawyer who was behind the nationwide women’s march following the election of President Trump, published a statement on Monday urging the current leaders of the movement to step aside.
“In opposition to our Unity Principles, they have allowed anti-Semitism, anti- LBGTQIA sentiment and hateful, racist rhetoric to become a part of the platform by their refusal to separate themselves from groups that espouse these racist, hateful beliefs,” she wrote on Facebook.
She singled out the group’s board members Bob Bland, Tamika Mallory, Linda Sarsour and Carmen Perez.
Under their leadership, the Women’s March was constantly under fire for allegiance with anti-Semitic groups and comments that some deemed anti-Semitic.
Just last week, Sarsour was condemned for saying the criticism against Minnesota Congresswoman-elect Ilhan Omar over her support for boycott of Israel is led by “folks who masquerade as progressives but always choose their allegiance to Israel over their commitment to democracy and free speech.”
Omar recently came out in support of the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement against Israel, despite previously saying she doesn’t support it. She was also criticized for tweeting that “Israel has hypnotized the world.”
The American Jewish Committee, one of the oldest Jewish advocacy groups in America, accused Sarsour of anti-Semitism.
“Accusing Jews of dual loyalty is one of the oldest and most pernicious antisemitic tropes. No surprise to see it coming from @LSarsour. How long will progressive leaders continue to look the other way in the face of this hate?” the organization tweeted on Friday.
The progressive group’s continued alliance with the Nation of Islam and its leader Louis Farrakhan also drew scrutiny.
Mallory was accused of contributing to anti-Semitism after she was seen attending an event where Farrakhan said “the powerful Jew is my enemy.”
The Women’s March, as a group, defended Mallory and she herself said “I go into difficult spaces.” On social media, the activist said Farrakhan is the “GOAT,” meaning the “greatest of all time.”
Last year, Sarsour blamed “the Jewish media” for her and Farrakhan’s controversial reputation and pushed back against any accusations of anti-Semitism.
Actress and activist Alyssa Milano last month criticized Mallory and the Women’s March not disavowing Farrakhan in strong terms.
“Any time that there is any bigotry or anti-Semitism in that respect, it needs to be called out and addressed,” Milano told The Advocate, noting that she won’t speak at the next Women’s March if asked. “I’m disappointed in the leadership of the Women’s March that the
The current leaders of the group fired back against the founder of the movement, saying her attack was done “irresponsibly,” but admitted the wrongdoing.
“We are imperfect. We don’t know everything and we have caused harm,” the leaders of the group wrote on Facebook.
“At times we have responded with hurt. But we are committed to learning. We will continue to work through the good and the bad, the impact and the harm — of building an intersectional movement that our daughters, and our daughters’ daughters can be proud of,” they added

Seems like tumblr is on another warpath of deleting nsfw artists randomly. I don’t know the full picture or story yet, but naturally it has me concerned.
In case I get swept up into this as well (despite so seldom posting and always tagging everything appropriately, suppose it doesn’t matter) please follow my twitter! I also have mastodon, in case twitter also tanks too for whatever reason. Thanks, and stay safe folks! Back up your things, there’s no safe haven for us untroubling folk anymore.
instead try; I love you *generic keysmash* h OW DA RE *lavish praise* *inside fandom joke* *quote fave part* *more generic keysmashing*

This is so true! A lot of the time, I get stuck in a writer’s hole. But whenever I get a comment like the above ones, it makes me want to write more!
GUYS! THIS IS CHEATCODE FOR MORE!!! SIGNAL BOOST 😱✨😂
Very important!
@rizahawkaye refer to entire list plz except the top
This is so true. I feel like I put hours and hours into some of my works, rereading and revising and making sure it’s just how I want it, and I post it excited for it’s receiving….! And then no one comments. And it’s incredibly disencouraging. I write because I love to, but I also write because maybe someone out there loves it when I do too. And frankly, people telling me that I did a good job is the best feeling in the world.
May I add “*cries in lesbian language*”? Because… yeah.
“i want to eat it” is a different one but works just as well as a keysmash imo
And if on Tumblr, you can try just “Reblogging” it. Share that fucker around, add a note of love, that usually works
YES
Rather than the ones that have the opposite effect,
“I can’t wait for the next update!!! (But be sure to take care of yourself and don’t rush it if you can’t!!!)” Bc if I got one of those I think I’d die on the spot and haunt my computer to update
This is honestly so true like tell me you had any emotions towards what I write and I’ll update as fast as humanly possible

Hey guys. I wanna thank you all for enjoying my little text post. It means a lot to me that something so silly resonated with so many of you.
But it’s November 16th, 2018, about 10 pm, and I just learned that William Goldman has died. Goldman was the author of The Princess Bride, which I’m paraphrasing in the Strong Trope up there. He wrote the book and the screenplay to what is one of the most amazing films ever, and one of the most hilarious, loving parodies/pastiches of historical fantasies.
If you’ve never seen The Princess Bride, I highly recommend it. Show it to your whole family. Show your pets. Revel in the swordfights, giants, monsters, games of wit, death, and true love. Join the rest of us in incessantly quoting one of the most quotable movies ever. The book is a little different from the movie, but the core themes and charm are the same.
Thank you, William Goldman, for creating such a lasting, charming legacy with The Princess Bride, an incredible, wholesome story that transcends generations. Rest in peace.
This is in fact a thing, and I’m not gonna lie – I think it’s the smartest thing tumblr has ever done.
I mean, if a significant number of users are going to keep reporting fictional works for ‘harm to minors’ regardless of whether or not this option exists, you might as well give them the option. That way they presort their own report out of the ‘direct harm to a real minor’ emergency line right away.
Basically, this strikes me as a clever way to make it easier for tumblr to tell reports of real cp from everything else from the get-go, which will protect real exploited minors much more effectively. Seems smart!
Until we see how tumblr chooses to handle these reports, we can’t know what – if any – kind of fictional content involving minors that tumblr intends to take action on. They may very well be intending to restrict the kind of fictional content they allow on their platform. But whether they do or not, this gives the dangerous, obviously harmful content its own line – and the fiction can get slower attention without gumming up the works.
To be clear: if the reports are acted on and there’s no clear line drawn between what kind of fictional content is allowed and what isn’t, this is hella dangerous. I still think that nsfw blogs should back their shit up immediately. But either way, I still think making a separate abuse line for fictional content will help protect victims of real cp more effectively.
