Severus was mean to Neville; but if you’re in shop or chemistry class, and a student isn’t playing attention or jokes around, or does something to endanger themselves or others, a teacher might say something nasty or horrible to them.
It sure isn’t going to end well.
Neville paid attention in class, but he was so nervous over his effing teacher, that he made mistakes. He tries his effing best, but how do you think someone is going to perform when they have a tyrant of a teacher breathing down their neck, telling them how much of a failure they are, threatening to poison their animal, and just being a complete and utter douchebag for no reason?!? There was ZERO excuse for the way Snape acted towards Nevile, nor any of the other students his grown a** bullied. Some of y’all Snape Stans do the absolute most to justify that man’s effed up actions.

The fact people are trying to make out that Neville was the one in the wrong is absolutely sickening and delusional!
And it’s a shame that so many Snape Stans justify it. Like your fave, but as I have said it a thousand times, don’t justify their ain’t ish behavior. Snape shouldn’t have been allowed to teach anyone anything. IDC how good at Potions he was, he was the worst when it came to children. And people that blame Neville should be ashamed of themselves.
It never fails to amaze me how there are always people out there so eager and willing to justify and defend child abuse. Like, seriously people, don’t ever have a kid or really be around any little children. No one wants more traumatized minors.
I hope one day you’ll understand that repeatedly threatening, insulting, belittling and terrifying small children is not ok under any circumstances and that everyone that does it is a scumbag, period.
It just boggles my mind how people blame an innocent kid for the abusive actions that they ensure from an effing adult. Neville didn’t do anything to anybody, he didn’t deserve ANYTHING that Snape said and did to him, but some Stans just can’t wait to point the finger and make Snape look like some frustrated teacher that had to be a little bit mean to protect his class and classroom. Y’all slay me and again I hope people who defend this are never in a position of power over children.
