So, there’s gonna be a remake of Lord of the Flies but — PLOT TWIST! — it’ll be about girls instead of boys.

I mean, I’m all up for a really, really passive-aggressive bunch of girls that eventually start killing each other and forming cliques. Girls ain’t angels either. But it would louse up the metaphor, unless it became a metaphor for, IDK, social convention in general. That might be interesting.

All female Lord of the Flies would most probably be a political drama with the girls using manipulation tactics and treachery rather than brute force to hurt each other. Also expect poisoning food and drink to crop up a lot (GOT said it best – “poison is a woman’s weapon”). 

Unfortunately in society we think physical = real and mental = fake, so this concept will get written off as “boring” by many.
