There’s a fun story behind this. Decades ago, feminist lobbyists in California demanded that arrests for domestic violence disputes become mandatory. Resulting arrests of men went up by like 15% to 20%, and arrests of women went up some 500%.
Well obviously, this doesn’t conform to the narrative of patriarchal domestic terrorism, so feminists lobbied once again, this time for legislation installing predominant aggressor policies using the Duluth model of domestic violence. So inconvenient details, like who was doing the hitting, are ignored in favor of things like height, weight, demeanor, and, of all things, state of emotional stability. And go figure, when you make it policy to arrest men, men get arrested.
And after all this, modern feminists have the gall to point to arrest rates and use it as evidence of violence in men and toxic masculinity. And in the same breath, they say that pisspoor legislation that actively harms men is just the patriarchy backfiring. But dont you dare try to change anything, because if you do, NOW will do everything in its power to block it. But also women have no real institutional political power. Funny how that all works.
