That’s pretty bad, but what’s worse is that is hard to explain to people why it’s bad.
Like, the over-sexualization of the Japanese anime/videogame/other geek media is because it’s a safe haven from the soul-crushing socially-conservative mainstream Japanese society for many people. It’s a revolt against the norm, which hasn’t changed at all, basically, from the early 20th century.
