I get that getting an overwhelming tide of disagreement, criticism and negativity is a lot to deal with, but that isn’t harassment. It’s a million people, each individuals, taking umbrage with what you said.

If you got up on stage in front of a million people and said something fucking stupid and 10,000 of them started booing you, that’s not harassment. Even though, yes, it might seem scary to have 10,000 people all jeering at you, that isn’t harassment.

Seriously though, reading past the obvious trolls and looking at actual criticism (Not just of the lying comic, but of the lying games journalists who push this false narrative) you find the truth.

What gets me pissed is that I am pretty sure that the liars KNOW exactly what we are actually criticizing, but they push this divisive, political bullshit as an easy way out of addressing the grievances laid forth.
And many of gaming’s most popular female characters are women. In fact, many gamers complained when Samus was wimpified in Other M, enough to put the series’ future in serious jeopardy.

since when have men/gamers *actually* complained about the mere ability to play a female character (with the reasoning being because they don’t like women)? i think there was some hubbub in some game a few years ago about them delaying the playable female character for some kind of goofy/lame development excuses…. but that’s not hating women….
so when have gamers/male gamers ever vocally complained about the option to play female characters for actual misogynistic reasons? that’s what the comic seems to be stating…. oh wait, that’s why i can’t figure it out, because that’s never fucking happened lol. “i hate women so i don’t think we should be able to play them in a game”, that’s what these idiots think is going on? funny… for people who consider themselves gamers, they don’t seem to know anything about them….

These are people who think gamers hate women and minorities so I’m going to assume that they haven’t, because they don’t play games. They see games as “Capitalist toys for capitalist drones” or some bullshit.
It also seems like they only pull the “40% of gamers are women” truth when it’s CONVENIENT TO THEM. Otherwise they forget this fact and assume all gamers are men.
