Why don’t they teach us about relationships involving domestic violence in school? They teach us the dangers of drugs and sex, but leave out the dangers of staying with someone who is emotionally, psychologically and/or physically abusive? Teach children the warning signs of abuse!
Or they teach it all wrong – like portraying the domestic abuser as a fat beer belly alcoholic dude who screams all the time and beats his wife with a belt just because “I’m the man and I can do what I want.”
Or the guy who may as well have a sign on his face saying “hello my name is douchebag” somehow charming a girl, getting her pregnant, and ditching her.
When in reality abuse doesn’t work that way AT ALL.
