I love every single one of these girls

See, this is why I LOVE good remakes, they take old designs and DO something with it.

If by “do something” you mean COMPLETELY RUIN THEM then yeah

Every single one of these is a downgrade.

>turning a powerful woman into an androgenous boy-girl
>five sets of taking a white character and turning them into a brown character
>turning clearly evil lobster girl into moronic-looking lobster man
>turning a thin girl fat
>turning adult characters into children

This isn’t good remake

I mean, if you flipped it – turning 5 brown characters into white, these same fantards would crying out for the showrunner’s head on a stick. The hypocrisy is palpable

They could have done these characters in THE SAME ART STYLE without making them look like weak blobs (and let’s be real they DO look like weak blobs. The original designs exude a lot more power than the new ones)

I never watched She-Ra or He-Man but if someone were to tell me the story of a princess of a fantasy kingdom with a magic sword fighting against monsters, I’d have an easier time picturing the old design as that. The new one looks like a child COSPLAYING as that character.
