Do people realize that there’s more to life than their sexuality? Like I’m probably bi cus I’m pretty impressed with men and women but like I don’t care enough to investigate? You shouldn’t even care if I’m bi, you have shit to do, what does it matter? I don’t care who’s straight, don’t people realize none of this matters? Date who you want and just stop? Please help

It’s all some people have because they’re so damn boring and haven’t gone through the self discovery phase, probably because they’re scared

@keyhollow you don’t seem to understand that many people are still being persecuted for their sexuality.

Yes, even in the US; disowned by religious or just homophobic parents and banished to the streets, being harassed and sometimes violently attacked by members of their communities, and having people in the government who literally advocated for them to undergo the abuse called “conversion therapy” and for them not to have any rights. (Gay marriage, protection against discrimination, etc)

Trans people have it even worse, sometimes even having to actively fear for their lives and safety, and almost certainly encountering verbal abuse & being ostracized.

There’s a reason lgbt+ people are banding together, celebrating their sexuality andor gender and making a community based on that, yes, with EMPHASIS on their sexuality andor gender.

Now there ARE people who do this due to the reasons you said…

But that’s not the lgbt+ community at large.

I’ve been given six tons of shit for my skin color and it didn’t become my entire personality thanks.

But probably not from your family. Research has shown that even when trans people are thrown in HORRIBLE environments, they are able to thrive as long as their families are still behind them. Same for all LGBT youth. Your family is in the same boat with you, whereas I am alone and rejected within my own home. I grew up hating myself, being harassed at home, at school, in public, everywhere I went. There was no safety. So when I was finally able to overcome all of that emotionally, after severe self harm, an eating disorder, and others, I wanted to scream my pride from the rooftops. Its not that I think I am special or interesting or wonderful because I’m a lesbian, its that a lot of my personality stems from the adversity I’ve had to overcome. I am who I am because I am gay and because I survived growing up gay. I am living and I am going to do it with Pride. There’s really no need to be judgmental about it.

No yeah, my black side and my white side both hate me. It’s only my immediate that doesn’t, thanks for assuming.

I’m also bisexual. So thanks for assuming again.

This isn’t about being gay and out. Whatever. This is about,

“Lol boring hetties”

“Omg you know me I’m so gaaaaay.”

“Well you wouldn’t understand fun, ur straight so.”

“Gooood so glad I’m not a boring straiiiight. So gaaaay gaaaaay gaaaaay.”

“20GAYTEEN YEAR OF THE GAY, I FUCK THE SAME GENDER IM SO INTERESTING.”

It’s like the key and peele skit come to fuckin life. Get over yourselves. It’s annoying.

That’s the thing too. I’m sure a sizeable chunk of what’s perceived as hatred and persecution is just people that don’t care who you fuck being honest about how annoying that is.

Yeah you’re right. The teacher who told her daughter (a girl in my grade) that I was sodomizing girls under the computer tables during class probably just didn’t care who I fucked and wanted me to know I was being annoying. As a closeted 12 year old. The kids who spit on me, shoved me up against lockers, mumbled faggot on their way by, all probably didn’t care I was just being annoying and in people’s face /: i could go on with offenses, don’t even get me started on the lockerroom, but I’m sure you get the picture. I think I can identify the difference. I’m gay not dense.

BIGOTS ARE NOT THE COMMON POPULACE AND WE ARENT TALKING ABOUT BIGOTS.

We’re talking about asshole gays being asshole gays. If you’re not part of the group you can see yourself out.

We are talking about “Kweers” not LGBT people. And by “Kweers” I mean

– The kind that uses Kweer as an umbrella term for the community as a whole and FORCES people to identify as that no matter how uncomfortable they are

– The kind that hates on straight trans people, bi people, ace people, and trans men because of the current hierarchy politics that’s going on in the LGBT community and dividing it into the LG and BTA communities… with even THOSE fighting with each other

– The kind that, instead of understanding WHY some straight people are homophobic (government propaganda, misinformation, ignorance) and focusing on educating them, are more concerned on hating straight people instead of making them allies

– The kind that believes if you’re closeted you have “internalized bigotry” and “aren’t REALLY LGBT”

– The kind that is happy to talk about Christian homophobia but ignores or worse CONDONES it if it’s done by POC and/or non-Christians

– The kind that muddles the definition of transgender to the point of pushing GNC kids into transitioning when they may or may not actually have dysphoria, thus turning trans issues into a joke and ensuring real dysphoric people don’t get resources

– The kind that brings their kinks to pride parades… where MINORS participate, and thus giving fuel to the homophobes who think gay people are degenerates

– The kind that excuses domestic abuse because it’s done by an LGBT person

– The kind that wants pandering walking stereotypes, and ACTS like walking stereotypes, instead of wanting actual gay rep in media where the characters act like human beings
