Normally I don’t care about shit like this, but looking back, the people getting mad at James Rolfe for his non-review of Ghostbusters 2016 (Which was basically saying in a calm, collected and concise way “I’m not gonna go see something I know I’m not gonna like”) was the most absolutely baffling thing to me

It’s like a shitty strawman comic come to life, with the calm collected dude on the left and the insane yelling caricatures on the right, except it was real

^ Dane Cook, a guy who has LESS of a career now than James Rolfe

(hope Tumblr doesn’t destroy this image’s resolution lmao)

As much as the reactions disgusted me, one thing I’ll always love is that Rolfe gave them NOTHING afterwards. No “clarification post”, no fake apology, nothing. He just moved on with his life. He said what he wanted to say, and that was it. He doesn’t need the approval of pseudo-journalists with sticks so far up their asses you can see it in the back of their throats.

He’s a fucking champion.

Apparently he didn’t even know they were going nuts about it until months afterwards

Rolfe is a god.
