one of my best friends is a cishet white male whose thoughts on lgbt people don’t stretch much further than “gay people aren’t evil”, but honestly i’d rather be friends with a fairly clueless an ally than a ze/zir asexual demiboy genderist who thinks lesbians are evil for liking pussy
oh and he put up with and supported me a few years ago when i was knee-deep in mogai what an icon
Honestly my best friend is the same, tho he’s a very accepting ally, he just doesn’t know about AAAANY of the discourse bc he stays off this hellsite, doesn’t use twitter, etc etc. Pmuch all his info comes from me and he rly…doesn’t care lol. And for some reason every wlw in the vicinity wants to be his friend 🤔
My dad isn’t an ally exactly. He’s one of those people who believes it’s a sin to be gay.
But he still supports my sister and I and even took in my sisters trans friend when they were living with their abusive dad.
He doesn’t really care if your gay or straight just don’t make it your personality.
Tbh he’s a pretty good ally considering his beliefs. I dont know everything about him ofc but based on that I respect him, treating people well even when you disagree is admirable 👏
