Gay people rely on straight people to produce more gay people.

It’s amazing how such a simple statement of biological reality could result in so much indignant butthurt in the comments.

Homosexuality does appear to be a part of nature, but a part that is only able to be evolutionarily accomodated because the overwhelming majority of men have always desired women and the overwhelming majority of women have always desired men, and that’s where little gay babies come from.

And yes, today in the 21st century we have test tube babies and all the rest, but every branch of your family tree going back millions of years right down to the roots is an unbroken series of heterosexual acts. You would not exist at all if not for millions of past men wanting to fuck millions of past women. Being angry against heterosexuality is as rational (and sustainable) as to be angry against rain. It makes no sense at all to hate
the natural processes that gave you the gift of life.

Life is better for gay people today in the west than perhaps it ever has in the entire history of the world. If you’re gay yourself (and living in an non-Islamic country) today is the perfect time to show gratitude and look to giving back to the wider community in which you live, to do whatever you can to maintain the infrastructure of your paradise, rather than building an identity around opposing it.

I’m thankful for my straight friends and my straight mom because they’re the ones who told my asshole grandfather to get bent after he told me he would chop me up and spread it across the highway after I came out to him. If it weren’t for the accepting straights in my life, I don’t think I would have learned to accept and love myself for who I am. So I say thank you and give ya’ll all the love in the world.
