The worst part about the “lesbians aren’t like those gross, piggish straight MEN because they’re pure and they don’t ~objectify~ other women by lusting after them” mentality is that I’ve seen plenty of younger lesbians feel guilt or shame for just finding certain women hot. Congratulations, radfems, you’ve caused young wlw to experience their own weird version of Catholic Guilt on top of all the other garbage they might be dealing with.

It causes all sorts of problems.

  • It internalizes self loathing for experiencing sexual thoughts
  • It represses sexual thoughts, making it a point of shame
  • It makes identifying lesbian sexual harassment harder
  • It makes lesbian/bi creators struggle with wanting to create art
  • It pigeonholes lesbian interactions and relationships

It’s soft shaming of lesbian … lust, I guess.  It’s okay to feel lusty.  It’s okay to see a really attractive woman and instantly feel that surge of sexual appeal.  It’s okay to have really lewd thoughts.

I’m always going to be unapologetic about finding women attractive.  I’m not going to apologize for liking boobs, hips, butts and tummies.  I’m not some pure little angel, I’m not a child.
