Men and most women in general (because only 20% of them actually call themselves feminists) aren’t threatened by feminism because they want to oppress women.

People are threatened because feminism has become more about hating on men than about supporting women, to the point where it even oppresses women for going against the grain. 

People are upset because feminism is willing to excuse women who commit bad deeds or blame said bad deeds on men, even if another woman is the victim. 

People are frustrated because feminism is more concerned about non-issues and first world problems than it is about REAL misogyny. 

People are upset because feminists often spout the same patriarchal rhetoric that’s used to control women in order to turn women to feminism. 

Maybe feminists wouldn’t feel so threatened if people chose not to call themselves feminists if their definition of “woke” wasn’t rooted in something other than throwing others under the bus to defend themselves.
