We don’t need feminism in America
We have all the rights men have. The wage gap was debunked. There’s a wage gap because females typically pick different professions. Ladies, you aren’t opressed.
I used to think that all the feminists in USA should be shipped over to India, but now that the sjw movement makes no sense, and could potentially be a threat to morally correct men, I have begun to think otherwise.
Funny you should mention that. A few years ago, the Indian gov’t wanted to make sexual assault laws gender-neutral, so men could be victims. Women’s advocates (not sure if they’re technically feminists) successfully pressured the government into not adding men, using, IIRC, the New Delhi bus rape as political leverage.
Also, SJWs will cheerfully bully and shame women who don’t stay in line. Just look at their hatred for any woman who criticizes them, or says she’s ‘not like other girls’.
Yeah I know about that. I am Indian. The feminists in India are doing the right thing because women’s status is still not high enough for equality. For justice to be provided at this time, there needs to be a bias towards women. And this isn’t necessarily a bad thing because the crimes against men by women are far far far less in number than men to women, because in this country women are truly oppressed. That’s why I used to think that the Feminists of USA would have been of some use here, because their actions only make sense in a country where women have a very low status. But now I don’t because of their attacks on women who don’t conform to their beliefs.
And yeah, Women’s Advocates count as feminists, but not these third wave radfems of America. The meaning of “feminist” in USA and India is pretty different. Here, we have a bias for the women in cases where the sex of the woman what is causing injustice, like distribution of property, job bias, payment gaps (which actually exist here in lower paying jobs and people hire women in hordes to be tea farmers) and rape.
>The feminists in India are doing the right thing because women’s status is still not high enough for equality.
Defending women’s legal privilege is justifiable if women are disadvantaged in other areas?
That’s an odd sort of ‘equality’.

You also have MRAs. And, of course, they get much the same pushback and demonization as their Western counterparts. Apparently, certain things are gendered even worse than they are in the West.
I clarified the first bit later when I said that if the woman’s sex is what’s causing the disadvantage she’s favoured. There’s a term for this and I have forgotten it because I dropped pol science

I’ve never heard of these guys. Guess they’re being suppressed pretty well.
Indian feminists aren’t doing the right thing either. Women’s rights advocates are doing quite well but the feminists are not because they’re just aping the west without understanding.
The aforementioned push to make rape only a women’s crime actually resulted in Sec 377 being law again, politicians even said they brought it back to protect boys from rape. Feminists didn’t care that they endangered the LGBT community at all.
Some of the videos feminists have put out like “My Choice” and “I got raped” also push bad messages, like the latter trivialises the meaning of rape so much that seeing your mom calling another girl slutty is rape. And then there’s the “Boys don’t cry” video which says that men’s problems only matter if they’re about women.
Feminist groups also tend to perpetuate the same scaremongering patriarchy does. Like in my college and school we had feminist seminars and they told us stuff like “STEM is sexist girls shouldn’t go there”, “girls can’t go outside because they will get raped” and it’s very depressing to hear such things.
I even had a career counsellor in school tell me not to go into the IT industry because I would be sexually harassed and I should choose a career that’s women friendly. This career counsellor was a woman.
Even the public transport issue it was feminists who said having pink seats would stop rapes, but it’s just a bandaid solution that won’t help. Feminists COULD focus on sex education, normalising inter gender interaction, and ending stigmas relating to sex in Indian culture but instead they chose the “easy” way out.
Women’s rights advocates actually help and solve the problem but feminists do not.
