whoop there it is.

Are you fucking kidding me?

If “the nice apple-pie kid” is in the corner sniffing glue, everyone is asking about how our culture messed him up.  “Is it his parents?  Is it his friends?  Is it his teachers?  Is it the messages in the music he listens to?
Is it the media?  Where did he learn this?  How many other kids are doing this?  How do we, as society, stop this from happening?  Do we need stricter discipline?  Is it because he’s being pushed too hard?  Do we need to monitor kids more?  Monitor them less?  Do we need laws preventing the sale of glue?”

This isn’t just wrong, it’s a blatant fucking lie.

And if he shoots up a school, shedloads of people will immediately blame  toxic white masculinity, “””””gun  culture””””, and America in general.

Well Marvel AND DC are now gutter trash.

Who talks like this besides Tumblr goblins and Buttfeed writers?

Comic book writers, who are the exact same people.

These people have never lived in an Indian family living in the U.S

We are expected to be the “perfect Indian child” because living in America made our parents regress to 1950s Indian culture mentality in order to compensate for moving.

If we get less than 90% in a subject, dress immodestly, show interest in the opposite sex, have interest in any hobbies aside from studies (for some reason Indian music and dance is miraculously exempt from this), want to be anything that’s not engineer, doctor, or businessperson, or are LGBT in any capacity you know what happens?

We are told we’re “acting American.” We are told we “aren’t really Indian anymore.” We are told we are “brainwashed by evil western culture.” Our parents are blamed for not ISOLATING us from “American culture” enough.

There is a reason why so many Indian kids got married and ran away in the past, it’s because parents like these were once the norm.
