‪I hate the narrative going around that women are helpless creatures that are going to get raped around every corner. Like if you really feel that helpless, take kickboxing or buy a gun. But don’t project that fear onto every women because we are NOT all afraid to take Ubers by ourselves or get into an elevator with a man or take out the trash at night and it’s humiliating that that’s our reputation now. I’m strong, not scared so stop trying to get other people to think otherwise.

Even worse is the idea that if you were born with female anatomy and you haven’t been beaten or raped by a man yet, you need to be in order to realize how necessary feminism is. This is all sorts of fucked up.

Those ideas are also extremely dangerous because they leave women open to female abusers and predators. In fact the idea that “men are rapists” is often perpetuated by female abusers and predators.
