As a Black Asian American with medium dark skin, it always bothered me that people would stage witch hunts if an artist draws a character a shade or two lighter (even when it’s a lighting thing) and those same people would praise other artists by making a character multiple shades darker. Either make both instances unacceptable, or just let artists draw how they want. It’s unbelievable the lengths people would go to avoid facing their own hypocrisy.
