Let’s be real. Your 20s are a really weird time.

motivation-and-fitness:

I always thought my teens would be the hardest time of my life. They were tough, that’s for sure, but my twenties have just been something else.

I don’t think my 20s are harder than my teens. I don’t want any teens who are struggling to be like OH GREAT and want to give up on everything.

Your twenties are a weird no man’s land. You could be married with a bunch of kids and it’s totally okay and normal. You can be getting black out drunk every weekend and hooking up with random people and it’s totally okay. You can have an amazing job with a future or you can be living with your parents. It’s a weird decade where literally anything goes. You can do pretty much anything and everyone’s okay with it. One you realize that, it’s pretty liberating.

To all my people in their twenties, I want you to know that it’s okay. Whatever you’re doing, wherever you are in life, it’s okay. I know everyone’s in different stages of their lives right now and it’s confusing and you don’t know where you fit in. Relax. It’ll all be okay.

Live your best life. You’re going to be okay.

I wish someone told me this when I was 19 and I thought my entire life was derailed and over because I had to change colleges, thus delaying my entry into “adulthood” by one year.

In the grand scheme of things, one year isn’t going to matter. Your 20s aren’t a “race against the clock” and they shouldn’t be. And most of the people who treat it like that are going to crash and burn.
